Events

The Monk’s Kettle is pleased to offer its facility to interested parties for private events, whether for Lunch or Dinner.  These events can be structured in almost any way necessary to meet your needs.  However, due to our very small size, total capacity is limited to 45 people, and requires renting out the entire space.

2nd Annual Dinner of the Trappists!

Monk's Kettle will kick off San Francisco Beer Week with the 2nd Annual Dinner of the Trappists, taking place on Monday, February 13.  This will be a 7 course dinner featuring all 7 Trappist breweries, including the ever sought-after Westvleteren. Firestone Walker Beer Dinner

Many thanks to Firestone Walker and 2011 Brewer of the Year Matt Brynildson for an amazing Beer Dinner. Featured beers from the event included three 2011 GABF gold medal winners, a silver medal winner, a 2010 gold medal winner, an aged 13% stout, and the latest anniversary beer: XV. Chef Adam Dulye was asked to co-write the Food Menu for the fourth annual SAVOR event, put on in June each year by the Brewer's Association.  He, Christian and Nat were back in D.C. this past June to help out.  Check out the details from this year's event here.

East Coast Night at the Kettle!

A huge thanks to everyone for a ridiculously amazing East Coast Beer Night on Thursday March 24. On tap were Pretty Things and Cambridge Brewing: Jack D'Or (Pretty Things), Project Venus (collaboration between Cambridge, Stone and Victory), and Blunderbuss 2010 (Cambridge). Dann and Martha, owners of Pretty Things, and Will Myers, brewmaster at Cambridge Brewing, were on hand to discuss the beers and their breweries.  A PDF of the day's Beer Menu can be viewed HERE. Monk’s Kettle Vintage List Now Available

In case you missed it, The Monk’s Kettle now offers a rare List of Vintage beers.  We have unveiled a menu of beers that have been aging in our climate controlled beer cellar, most since our opening in December of 2007.  This list will change over time and grow, as beers peak for consumption, and the seasons change. We now offer some of these bottles to you.

Save Our Shores Charity Fundraiser

Thanks to all that joined us for the Bay Area release party for the S.O.S (Save Our Shores) Charitable Pilsner. Seventy-Five cents from each 22oz bottle purchased is being donated "to the rescue and restoration of the environment, industry and individuals fighting to survive the disastrous Gulf oil spill." The Monk's Kettle is also donating 50% of all Abita sales from the night to charity benefitting the restoration of the Gulf Coast.
